System Check and Restoration After Another Integrator

We analyse the state of the system and check what can be recovered. With KNX, addresses, links and many parameters can usually be read from the devices into a new ETS project; for Modbus, MQTT and controllers the scope is set after the audit. Then we fix faults, prepare documentation and hand all files over to the client.

from €150 · site visit, diagnostics and report

The integrator has disappeared, there’s no documentation, something has stopped working and nobody will hand over the source files. We come, work out what’s going on and restore the system — and hand all the files over to you.

What’s included

Inspection

Panels, equipment, KNX bus and communication lines.

Read-out

Configuration of KNX devices and of Modbus and MQTT controllers.

Report

What works, what doesn’t, what the risks are, what to do and what it will cost.

Project restoration

We recreate the ETS project if there’s no original.

Fixes

We correct errors and improve the logic.

File handover

All source files and documentation go to the owner.

Timing

Audit — one site visit and 2–3 days for the report. Restoration — from a few days to 2–3 weeks, depending on the size of the system.

For Whom

  • Clients without documentation

Frequently Asked Questions

In most cases, yes. Addresses and links are read out from the devices, and parameters are restored manually. It takes longer than with the original file. If the devices are password-protected, it’s harder — we’ll discuss it on site.
Ask in writing: it’s your data. If they still don’t hand it over, we’ll restore it.
The audit is paid for separately, and in the report we compare the cost of repair and replacement.
